Cathy’s Rottie Rescue, Rehab and Sanctuary of North Stonington, CT is proud to be a recipient of the 2013 Holiday Kibble Drop “Inspire Tour.” It was an honor for our small rescue to ?play with the big dogs? and to be acknowledged along with 10 other animal rescue organizations in New England and receive a 2,000 lb donation of Halo Spot’s Stew dog food. The donation has stocked our pantry for over 2 months!
Cathy Leinert, founder of the rescue, leads a small band of volunteers in the never ending mission to rescue and re-home as many abused, neglected and unwanted Rottweilers and “Nottweilers” as possible. Over the past 13 years, we have saved over 400 dogs. Not only is Cathy’s organization a rescue but it is a sanctuary for five permanent rescues who were never able to find the right home.
Pictured with Cathy are two permanent rescues. On her right is Coco Puffy, a 10 year old rottie who has been at the rescue for 8 years and on her left is Rudybear, a 10 year old rare purebred long hair rottie who has been at the rescue for over 6 years.
